Digital Stamps: Student Self-Assessment

  • Description

As we move to remote learning, we need to adapt to new methods whilst trying our best to keep our students feeling safe, and happy. Student self-assessment occurs when learners assess their own performance. With practice, they learn to: objectively reflect on and critically evaluate their own progress, develop skills, identify gaps in their understanding. A student who is able to accurately and effectively self-assess, and then take appropriate action, has attained independence as a learner. And our goal as a teacher is to create independent, self-sufficient, and lifelong learners.

As a teacher, we have to give constructive feedback all the time. It’s nice to know that giving feedback and grading your students is not the only way to assess students. Let your students assess themselves using these digital stamps. So, why not give students an easy way to assess their work.

Upload these digital stamp images where assignments are turned in and have students evaluate themselves. Believe me, I have observed in my class and they do an amazing job by reflecting on their work.

In this file, you will receive 7 different designs in the digital format. Each image is saved separately as jpg file with 300dpi. The jpg images have a white background. These images have high quality. High-resolution images appear crisper and more distinct.

All the images are saved in a zipped folder, so right-click and extract the file and save it to your device before use.

Adding stamps to student work is the exact same as adding an image to a digital program. These digital stamps for online learning are compatible with a wide range of online platforms such as Google Classroom, and Seesaw.

Feedback has been identified as one of the most effective teaching practices. Effective teacher feedback offers opportunities for reflection and action. It encourages learning, promotes continuous improvement, and celebrates success.
