Description
Farm animals are a perennial favourite with young children and a lot of activities, games and early literature revolve around them. Through this unit they will begin to learn what a farm is and animals that form a community there. The main animals to be covered are pig, dog, donkey, horse, cow and duck.
Recognition of animals that live on a farm, their names along with their babies and their babies and their staple food would be some of the additional features. The physical characteristics of each animal would also be described in depth.
The focus will also be on language and literacy skills and math that run alongside right through the year. The topic and activities are age appropriate.
